Introducing… Klak Tik
We’re pleased to announce that our next EP release will be a three track offering from KLAK TIK a.k.a Denmark-born, London-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Søren Bonke.
After a couple of years of writing, recording and performing with London’s 6 Day Riot, Søren has decided to focus fully on his solo project and the results so far are nothing short of startling. The EP, which will act as a taster for his upcoming debut album, is as yet unnamed and will be released on September 29th.
Until then, I highly recommend sampling Søren’s music on his MySpace site, http://www.myspace.com/klaktik. You almost certainly won’t regret it.

Atticus: “Atticus EP” (K801)
The first K8 release is a three-track EP from ATTICUS.
Founded in Cumbria at the turn of the century but currently based between Sheffield and Aberdeen (it depends on who visits who), Atticus creates chiefly instrumental, synthesiser-heavy tracks which bask in the lingering influence of the early nineties shoegaze scene. Some people call this synth-gaze. We’ll let you make your own mind up.

An Introduction to Kapitel 8
Kapitel 8 is a brand new, Internet music label based in the heart of Sheffield. Our goal is to deliver creative MP3-based EPs from a range of fringe genres. All of our downloads will be entirely free and we encourage listeners to share them freely.
The idea behind the label is simple. There are far more amateur musicians and home recording enthusiasts out there than so called professional artists. While it’s certainly true that many hobbyists create mediocre music, we believe that a great number of these bedroom visionaries are worth hearing. Through our free EP series, we simply hope to share our humble discoveries with other like-minded music fans.
Demo Submissions:
We enjoy hearing your demos and are actively looking to line up artists for future EPs. The procedure is fairly straightforward.
E-mail kapitel8 at googlemail dot com with a brief artist bio and a URL (e.g. to your MySpace page) where we can check out your music. Do not send media files through e-mail. We won’t be happy. We will respond to all demo submissions but please understand that we won’t be able to release everything. Bribery may or may not help to further your cause.
